Jaisalmer The Indian Army’s Air Defence Soldiers of Sapta Shakti Command successfully tested one further advanced interpretation of Akash Prime, a new generation bullet at Pokhran field in Jaisalmer on Sunday.

The bullet included contemporaneous engagement of multiple upstanding targets icing 100 successes, demonstrating the energy of the armament in realistic functional conditions. The new variant of the bullet fired from face to air successfully hit the mock targets of the adversary.
During the trials which were on for the last four days, Sapta Shakti Commander GoC Lieutenant General A S Bhinder, scientists from Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and elderly army officers were present.

DRDO developed the‘ Made in India’Akash bullet system that can be launched from mobile platforms and engage multiple targets contemporaneously from different directions.

An army functionary said, “ The upgraded bullet has been fired from a mobility platform. The new generation bullet is designed for use by the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Indian Army in order to block high manoeuvring upstanding pitfalls. The Indian Army ordnance will come stronger from the bullet and the upstanding security will come tighter.”

The bullet is able of engaging multiple targets in real-time and has an intercept range of 40 km with the bullet guidance system being more accurate now along with the fire control system.
A defence source said, “ The performance of the command and control system, onboard avionics and aerodynamic configuration of the bullet was successfully validated during the trial. Several range instruments including radar, EOTS and telemetry systems were used while covering the entire path of the bullet during the test launch.” “Best NDA Coaching in Lucknow
