MNS SSC Exam 2024 Selection Process

Starting from MNS 2022, there has been a significant change in the selection process involving MNS + NEET. Previously, the Military Nursing Service Exam followed a three-stage selection process. However, moving forward, it will be conducted through MNS + NEET. Below, we outline the detailed selection process.

    Shortlisting through NEET (UG) Score

Initially, female candidates will undergo the NEET UG exam for shortlisting purposes. Subsequently, the shortlisting will be based on the NEET score, and the merit list will be published on the official website www.joinindianarmy.nic.in.

    Verification of Documents

Shortlisted candidates are summoned for document verification, during which they must produce all original documents. If the candidates are not able to present the original documents they will be disqualified then and there.

Test of General Intelligence & General English (ToGlGE)

Additionally, the examination for General Intelligence & General English (ToGlGE) will be conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) format. It will comprise 40 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each carrying two marks, with a maximum score of 80. Moreover, for each incorrect answer, there will be a deduction of 0.5 marks. Candidates will have 30 minutes to complete these 40 questions.

    Psychological Assessment Test (PAT)

The Psychological Assessment Test (PAT) is a qualifying examination, and its score will not be taken into account when preparing the final merit list. It evaluates candidates’ psychological attributes, similar to the SSB interview in defense exams, albeit with some distinctions. Unlike the SSB, the MNS examination does not include a Group Testing Officer (GTO).

    Panel Interview

Candidates will undergo an interview conducted by a Board of Officers at a specified location. The board consists of 3-4 officers who interview several candidates simultaneously.

    Medical Examination

Finally, all selected candidates will undergo a Special Medical Board (SMB) examination at a designated venue. Candidates declared FIT or UNFIT will receive their medical status reports. Those dissatisfied with their medical status may appeal to the Medical Board.
