NDA Result 2022: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to announce NDA I 2022 result in June 2022. The result will be announced on the official website-upsc.gov.in in PDF form. The result PDF will display the roll numbers of qualified candidates. Based on the NDA I result in 2022 for the written exam, candidates will be selected for SSB Interview. After the declaration of the result for the written exam, candidates are required to register themselves online on the Indian Army website within two weeks. Candidates will then be allotted selection centers and dates for SSB interviews. How the scores of candidates are calculated?

UPSC follows the marking scheme while calculating the scores of candidates. NDA marking scheme is given below:

In General Ability Test (GAT), candidates get four marks for correct answers

In the Mathematics section, for correct answers candidates score 2.5 marks

For wrong answers, 0.33 marks are deducted

The formula for score calculation

GAT- Number of correct answers x 4 – Number of incorrect answers x 0.33

Mathematics – Number of correct answers x 2.5 – Number of incorrect answers x 0.33

Stages of NDA result

NDA result is declared in two stages. First, the result for the written exam is declared, which is followed by the declaration of the final result. The stages of NDA result 2022 are explained below:

NDA Result 2022 for Written Exam

The written exam as per the NDA exam pattern comprises two sections-GAT Mathematics. The total marks for the test are 900. UPSC prepares a list of candidates who secure the minimum qualifying marks in the written exam. Only such candidates are selected for SSB Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test.

Final NDA 2022 Result

NDA final result is declared after the completion of the SSB Interview. Candidates are selected for admission to the Army/Navy/Naval Academy and Air Force based on their performance in the written exam and SSB Interview. Candidates are required to secure separate minimum qualifying marks in both tests.

What after the declaration of NDA result?

Qualified candidates for the written exam are required to appear in the SSB Interview. The exam is a two-stage process based on Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test. All selected candidates are required to appear first in Stage 1. Only those candidates who qualify the Stage 1 are selected for Stage 2. Candidates who qualify for Stage 2 are required to submit the original certificates along with one photocopy of each original Class 10 pass certificate and Original 10+2 pass certificate.

Preparation of Merit List for Selection

The merit list for final selection is prepared as per the process given below:

A single combined merit list is prepared based on the total marks secured by candidates in the written exam and SSB Interview

The final allocation/selection for admission to the Army, Navy, Air Force of the National Defence Academy and 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme of Indian Naval Academy is done as per the number of vacancies subjected to candidates’ eligibility, medical fitness and merit-cum-preference

While allocation/selection to one service/course, they will not be considered for admission to other remaining services/courses

Tie-Breaking Policy

When two or more candidates secure equal aggregate marks in NDA exam, the ties are resolved as per age. This means candidates older in age are given preference.

NDA Cut off

The cut off is released after the completion of the recruitment process. NDA cut off is different for written exam and SSB Interview. To qualify the exam, candidates need to secure the cut off marks separately in written exam and SSB Interview. The cut off marks for the written exam are calculated out of 900 marks. The final NDA cut off which is the marks secured by the last recommended candidates is determined out of 1800 marks.
