Meet Air Marshal Sanjeev Kapoor – New NDA Commandant
On 31st October, Air Marshal Sanjeev Kapoor took charge as the new NDA commandant replacing Lt Gen Asit Mistry. Lt Gen Asit Mistry retired from the Indian Army after serving 39 glorious years.
Facts about Air Marshal Sanjeev Kapoor
- Air Marshal Sanjeev Kapoor is an alumnus of 67th Course D Squadron of NDA
- He was commissioned in the Flying Branch of the Indian Air Force (IAF) in December 1985
- He is also the alumnus of Defence Services Staff College, Flying Instructor School, College of Defence Management and National Defence College
- He has over 7,800 hours of accident/incident-free flying on the various trainer, transport and strategic aircraft
- His has completed M. Sc (Defence Studies), Master of Management Studies and M. Phil
- Currently, he is pursuing his Ph D from Osmania University
- As Flying Instructor, he has done instructional tenures at Air Force Academy and Fixed wing Training Flight, Yelahanka.
