Commandant Yogesh Dutta (Retd) had served in the Indian Coast Guard for 25 years with rich sea operations and experience in planning, security operations, training, and development. This also includes duties in the capacities of Executive Officer, Gunnery Officer, Navigating Officer, Communication’s Officer, Training Officer, Maritime Law Enforcement Officer, Principal Warfare Officer, and Nuclear Biological Chemical Defense and Firefighting Officer.

The officer is a helicopter pilot who has qualified his pilot’s training and rating from Southampton, United Kingdom, and has also completed about 2000 hours of helicopter sea operations. The officer had also served important appointments as Joint Director in the recruitment directorate and a Psych Assessor with the Coast Guard Selection Board (CGSB, Noida). He has also been into sea training and was a training officer on board Indian Naval Ship Training and Indian Coast Guard Ship, dedicated to grooming cadets who will be future Indian Navy and Coast Guard officers.
COMDT Yogesh Dutta (Retd) is a Masters in Applied Psychology with a post-graduation in Guidance and Counseling and has qualifications as a Technical Officer (Psychology Assessor) from the Defence Institute of Psychology Research (DIPR), Delhi.
