Colonel R.K. Tiwari is the illumine of the Indian Military Academy and began his career journey after commissioning in 1964. From the volatile terrains of Jammu and Kashmir to the tumultuous battlegrounds of the 1965 and 1971 wars, his valor and dedication shone through. Serving as an instructor at the High Altitude Warfare School in Sonmarg and holding pivotal roles in the Army and Assam Rifles, including as a Group Testing Officer and Technical Officer, he left an indelible mark before retiring in 1992.

Post-retirement, Colonel R.K. Tiwari seamlessly transitioned into nurturing the next generation of officers through guidance classes. Over the past 25 years, his mentorship has yielded remarkable results, with over 350 selections into the Officers cadre. Some of his mentees have ascended to the prestigious rank of Brigadier, a testament to his enduring legacy and profound impact on the armed forces.
