UPSC releases Combined Defence Services result in online mode on the official website. Candidates who want to download CDS Result PDF from the official website can follow the steps given below:

CDS Merit List 2021

UPSC releases the Combined Defence Services exam result in the form of a merit list. CDS Merit List PDF consists of the Name and Roll Number of qualified candidates. Separate merit lists will be released for the written exam and final result. The CDS final merit list is usually released separately for IMA, INA, AFA and separately for OTA candidates. Candidates need to search for their ‘Roll Number’ to know whether or not they have qualified for the exam. CDS Result 2021

CDS Exam Scorecard CDS Result 2021

CDS scorecard is released within 15 days after the release of the final result of OTA. Candidates will have to enter their ‘Roll Number’ and ‘Date of Birth’ to check the CDS exam marks. CDS scorecard will include the candidate’s roll number, date of birth, name, total marks obtained in written exam and SSB Interview, final total marks, etc. The CDS mark sheet will also be released for candidates who have not been selected after the SSB interview. The CDS scorecard will be released separately within 15 days from the declaration of the final result for OTA. Candidates will be able to check their results 30 days after the release of the scorecard.

CDS Score Calculation & Preparation Of Merit List

The calculation of the CDS score is as per the CDS exam pattern & marking scheme. Candidates qualifying for the CDS cutoff marks will be eligible to appear for the SSB Interview. The SSB interview will be conducted to test the candidate’s personality, intelligence and other relevant parameters. As per their performance in SSB Interview, candidates will be recommended for final allotment. The final merit list is prepared based on the total marks secured in the written exam and SSB Interview. Besides that, the candidate’s medical fitness and eligibility parameters will also be looked upon for selection.

What After UPSC CDS Result?

After the release of the UPSC CDS written exam merit list, candidates need to register themselves at the recruiting directorate website. Candidates who have exercised their first choice as IMA/OTA need to register at the Join India Army official website. Candidates who have already registered on the recruiting directorate website are advised not to register again. Candidates registered on recruiting directorate website as per the schedule will be called for the SSB interview.

CDS Final result is usually released at once for IMA, INA, AFA. Whereas the final result for OTA exam is released separately. Candidates whose Roll Number is present in the merit list need to submit their documents along with Photo attested copies. The verification of the Date of Birth and Educational Qualification of these candidates will be done by the Army Quarter.

Documents To Be Submitted After CDS Exam Result

Qualified candidates are required to submit the original certificates in support of age (Date of Birth), educational qualifications, NCC (C) certificate along with attested copies to the Army Headquarters:

  1. SSB call letter
  2. Matriculation or 10th class mark sheet
  3. Intermediate or 12th or equivalent certificate
  4. Original Graduation degree certificate with mark sheets
  5. Post-graduation degree certificate and mark sheets (if mentioned in the qualification filled in the application form)
  6. NCC Certificates (if required)
  7. Identity Proof like Aadhar card, Voter ID Card, Pan Card, Passport
  8. The final year students, as well as candidates whose results are awaited, need to have a certificate issued from the Principal.

Medical Test After CDS Result

After clearing the SSB Interview, a candidate needs to undergo medical tests. If the candidate is not fit then he/she will be rejected at this point irrespective of whether or not they have cleared the CDS exam and SSB Interview.

However, if the candidate is suffering from medical issues that can be treated, then he/she will be given a certain period of time until the person becomes fit. Candidates are also required to submit all their original documents.
