Raj Vikramaditya, a former student of Government Engineering College in West Bengal shared the story. Raj shared a nostalgic picture from 2017 when he was teaching a class. He also shared a screengrab of a LinkedIn comment section where the then ‘first benchers’ had commented, showing the details of their current organizations. Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College, being a tier-3 institution, usually didn’t attract prime placements, but the students took matters into their own hands by forming a coding club, where seniors, like Vikramaditya, would teach classes for the juniors after college hours.
Despite regular power cuts at the college, the students were enthusiastic about learning and used multiple flashlights to continue their coding classes.
