Indian Student Unfurls Tricolour During Convocation Abroad, Wins Hearts Online
Many students from India go abroad for higher education. It is a proud moment for students when they are awarded degrees for which they have toiled hard. Many students try to do something unique to make the moment even more special.
Awanish Sharan, Indian Administrative Service Officer of the Chhattisgarh cadre, shared a video of an Indian student receiving his college degree abroad and it has won hearts online. Dressed in traditional attire along with his graduation robe, the student walked on the stage when his name was called.
He took out the Indian flag from his pocket and unfurled it while facing the audience. As he walked with the tricolor, he received a round of applause from the audience. “He got a degree and won millions of hearts,” Sharan captioned the video on X, formerly Twitter.
“What a lovely gesture. Jai Hind my friend. So proud of this guy,” commented an X user. “Dil jeet liya bhai ne (brother won our heart)…amazing moment,” said another. “Priceless expression of contentment on his face. Well done boy!!!” posted a third.
